My name is Alessandra (Alex), I´m a childbirth birth educator, doula, holistic therapist, theta healer and activist in Brazil. I currently live in Belo Horizonte- Minas Gerais. I was raised in the United States, mainly in Florida. In 2001 I gave birth to my daughter, Ananda at the Lover´s Lane Birth Center in Dallas, TX. I received training in Dallas as a doula with CAPPA/DONA nad Birthworks and as a childbirth educator with Birthworks. I participated in several other workshops/trainings such as a breastfeeding educator, midwifery assistant, reiki, pre and postnatal yoga, baby massage, theta healing, floral essences and others. In 2004 I agave birth to my son, Nathan, at home in Belo Horizonte. Since 2002 I have been involved with the childbirth movement locally and internationally.
It is my goal to help you achieve the positive experience you desire. I have been blessed with extensive experience with natural birth, medicate birth, VBACs (vaginal birth after cesarean), cesarean birth, homebirth, hospital birth and birth center. I have also had the opportunity to travel throughout Brazil to teach and learn about birth.
